A weak area of low pressure currently located at the Maryland/Pennsylvania border at about 6pm Sunday will continue to track to the east over the next twelve hours...just south of Cape May, New Jersey by 2am Monday and then out in the Atlantic Ocean by 2pm.
Although this is mainly rain and mainly 'light' rain across Connecticut, there will be a few heavier showers from time to time and it is cold enough in the higher elevations of the NW Hills and even along the Mass border for some wet snowflakes mixing in, but with temps forecast to remain above freezing tonight (35 degrees in our coldest inland spots), no problems are expected.
Clouds and a few showers could hold on Monday morning for the AM commute, but sunshine works in throughout the day. A strong northerly wind will gust up to about 35 mph behind tonight's exiting storm and that will pull down much colder temps again for Tuesday morning...back below freezing in many spots.
But a nice rebound is expected on Tuesday with highs surging back into the lower 60s and plenty of sunshine. In fact, Tuesday might very well be the best day of the week.
A weak disturbance will bring another round of rain showers on Tuesday night and the clouds will be slow to clear on Wednesday.
Great weather is expected beginning Thursday with bright sunshine right through the weekend as temps slowly climb through the 50s and into the 60s. The early call for Easter Sunday one week from today is for a beauty of a day.
