Finally...a dry start to the day! A cold pool aloft will cause cumuliform clouds to billow up again through the day today. With steep lapse rates through 700mb across Eastern Connecticut, there could be a pop-up shower with some heating later this afternoon. Coverage should be widely scattered.
Mother's Day weekend should feature a variety of weather...most of it nice. Saturday is definitely the pick as a ridge at all levels dominates. A weakening frontal boundary settles down with a spot shower threat locally Sunday. Not a complete loss.
