Last summer I started hiking the Appalachian Trail and I quickly became a fan of multiple day hiking trips. Many die-hard long distance hikers take 6 month trips hiking the entire Appalachian Trail, but that isn’t an option for me. I work full-time and have a family of four to support, so I take weekend trips whenever I can. My goal is to hike the entire trail by the time I die. The trail spans 2,184 miles, starting at Springer Mountain, Georgia and finishing at Mount Katahdin, ME.
On May 18-20, 2012, my brother-in-law Keith and I took off for a section hike starting in Kent, Connecticut. We ended up hiking about 20 miles and finished our hike right near the covered bridge in West Cornwall, Connecticut. Check out some of the photos I took on the trip!
