Some heavy showers and storms are flaring up around New York City, causing Flood Advisories across the metro area. 

This area of heavy rain is moving towards the north and west and flooding is a big concern across portions of northeast New Jersey. There is even a Flood Advisory for Manhattan and the boroughs.

Some of this rain will make it into the Lower Hudson Valley and could clip portions of extreme southwestern Connecticut. Keep an eye to the radar and this article for live updates.
