Friday Thunderstorms: At it Again

Thunderstorms are popping again this afternoon and some of the storms could be severe.

Isolated thunderstorms will continue to impact Connecticut into the evening hours. It may sound like a broken record, but the biggest threat is heavy rain, along with gusty winds and lightning.

These storms have produced nickle-sized hail just over the NY border.

4:41 p.m. update
A strong thunderstorm is approaching northwest Litchfield County.
These storms in eastern NY have already dropped hail up to one half inch in diameter and small hail is possible with this cell as it heads towards Sharon and Salisbury.

As of 2:40 p.m. a strong thunderstorm is approaching Danbury and New Fairfield. Gusty winds, heavy rain and small hail are the threat with this storm.
