Video: "Almost Tornado" Ends Graduation

Talk about a bad way to ruin your graduation...What you're seeing above looks strangely similar to a tornado, but it is not! Regardless of the lack of severity of the scud cloud you see in the above video, it is associated with thunderstorms, and therefore can be very dangerous.
You might have noticed part of the way through the video that thunder struck strangely close to the field everyone was on. While it's heartbreaking to have to cut a graduation short, or cancel it mid-way through, it's much better than risking the lives of many people to keep the ceremony moving.
Also, you may have read recently about an image that was eerily similar to the above video in Ledyard, check out out by CLICKING HERE. This was also most likely a scud cloud, or a cold air funnel! They're much less dangerous than a tornado, but they certainly look scary!
