OK, I won't bury the lead here... When I'm forecasting, there are 2 main things I'm looking for in the model data, and both begin with a "C". They are consensus and consistency. If you have both, then you have a very high confidence level in your forecast. But if you have neither, the forecaster has a lot of thinking to do! In this article, I'll tell you what each of these terms means to me, and how you can spot them, too.
