As we have all heard there will be heat. This heat will be mainly on Wednesday and Thursday. These days are when high temperatures could be flirting with triple digits.

A strong cold front is forecasted to cross Connecticut on Friday kicking the heat off shore. Many strong cold fronts tend to feature strong heavy thunderstorms prior to its passage. But this cold front will feature very little in the way of rain and some locations may not even receive any.

Now if we do the math the last time Connecticut received any measurable rain was last Wednesday June 13. It is already the 18th of June and with a week of hot weather and full days of sun the soil will dry out rapidly.

Now models disagree when the next real slug of rain comes it appears to be at least a week away. So….may be a good idea to water the garden and lawn in the early morning or late afternoon.
