Summer officially begins Wednesday at 7:09pm and it's gonna feel like it.

The image above shows the general set-up for Wednesday and Thursday. A big warm front pushes all the way north into Canada with a strong cold front up to the northwest...that front will arrive on Friday.

During summer heat waves, the key feature is usually a "Bermuda High," an area of high pressure near Bermuda, as its name suggests.

Since the wind around high pressure is always clock-wise, our air comes all the way up from the Gulf Of Mexico with a southwesterly wind, and that means lots of heat and humidity.
