Being a weather enthusiast, I’m always looking for the most comprehensive weather app to have on my smartphone.  I’ve downloaded most of the weather apps on the market but none seemed to give me everything I was looking for in one app until I found 1weather by onelouder apps.  They’ve nailed it!

Some of the features that this app offers are:  Real-time weather and forecasts, Extreme weather warnings, 7 day forecasts with precipitation info, sunrise/sunset with lunar stage, Radar, and air quality and UV charts.

Not only are all those features offered but onelouder has also integrated a twitter feed with weather related tweets near you.  Another integrated feature are weather photos that you can check out that have been submitted by other app owners.  I’m always looking for some great weather photos.

My favorite aspect of this app is the interface.  Along the bottom there are a bunch of icons that glide from left to right.  As you highlight the icon that you want, the screen fills up with that information.  For example the umbrella icon gives a forecast for precipitation for the next 7 days.  In a very easy to read interface, it highlights the percentage chance for rain and the estimated amount of rain that will fall that day.

The app is free to download and is available for the android, iphone, ipad, and virtually any smart device.  Throw in all the customizable options that this app offers and it’s a no brainer to download.  For $1.99 you can get rid of the annoying advertising.  Some other apps that onelouder makes are : tweetcaster (twitter), friendcaster (facebook), sportscaster(sports), and the new Bacon Reader (Reddit).

What is your favorite weather app?
