A severe thunderstorm shortly before 5 p.m. slammed the Stamford area.

As seen above from a Report It submission, trees came down on the Merritt Parkway between exists 32 and 33. Another photo from Barbara is added below.

The National Weather Service also reported  "Trees and wires down on Shippan Avenue, Scofieldtown Road and Rockrimmon Road" in North Stamford.

Brian sent a video in, showing some small hail at the Stamford train station.
