In North Haven (and most of the state), several rounds of thunderstorms gave residents a light show as well as some water for their lawns and gardens. This week will feature the three H’s. There will be Hazy, Hot, and Humid conditions with high temperatures in the 90’s. On Wednesday afternoon we will see some strong to severe thunderstorms as a cold front will push through to break the heat.
On this day back in 1995, a Derecho moved through New England at a speed of 70 mph. Widespread damage was reported including reports of several tornadoes. Massachusetts was hit the hardest and Otis reported a wind gust of 92 mph!
