The Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been lifted and the worst of the rain is over.

Connecticut may have not seen any severe hail or damaging winds today, but there was plenty of lighting and a ton of rain. In fact, it was so much that many streets, roads and even highways flooded over.

Although a few scattered showers may continue off and on into the night, the activity is becoming more scattered. Although a few isolated thunderstorms cannot be ruled out, most of the rain should be light.

Every county in the state has reported at least some flooding.

The strong storms caused thousands of power outages and at the height of the storms, about 5,500 customers across the state were without power.
