Yesterday's strong storms brought significant amounts of rain within a short period of time.  Some places across the state picked up more than 3 inches of rain in just an hour or so!  As a result, many of these locations experienced urban flooding, especially of streets.

At my house in Southbury I picked up 1.70 inches on my Davis Vantage Pro 2 weather station, while my CoCoRaHS rain gauge filled with 1.84 inches.  I took the difference to be 1.77 inches when all was said and done.

Below are more precipitation totals from around the state.  Some of the reports below are from CoCoRaHS.com as well, but reported to the NWS.
