The weather is coming at us from two directions...Tuesday from the southeast and Wednesday from the northwest.
The image above is the satellite and radar from 5pm on Tuesday. You can see the moisture over Rhode Island and the Atlantic Ocean...just close enough to have kept it cloudy all day Tuesday and for a few rain showers, mainly in Southeastern Connecticut.
That system pulls away tonight as our next system comes in from the west on Wednesday. You can see a line of showers & storms stretching from the Eastern Great Lakes south toward the Virginias.
This rain will move in on Wednesday. While any part of the state could see some showers and storms on Wednesday afternoon, the best chance will be west of I-91 where we could see some heavy downpours and some lightning, but nothing severe is expected.
On Thursday, our rain chances will be much lower and there will be more sunshine along with warmer temps. We we still have a few hit or miss storms, but a lot of folks probably won't see any rain.
