Today the dew point reached 78 here at my station in Hamden, the highest of the summer season so far. The last time I recorded a dew point of 78 was last year on July 22.

Across the state today, some of the highest dew points of the season were also recorded.

At Bridgeport the dew point high was 77, at New Haven it was 75.

The high dew points produced heat index between 95 and 100 degrees across the area. However, actual temperatures in most areas stayed between 85 and 89 today. The exception was Bradley Airport at 93 degrees!
