The past 3 days have been the longest period of extreme humidity in our area yet this summer.
Here is Hamden at my personal weather station my dew point high was 77 Friday, 78 Saturday, and a amazing 80 on Sunday. The 80 degree dew point on Sunday here was the highest I have recorded since I have been keeping records the past four years! Across the area over the weekend another personal station in Southbury hit 81 degrees! Official National Weather service stations such as Bridgeport hit 78 degrees and Meriden hit 77 degrees.
Typically I have seen dew points reach around 75 most summers in Connecticut. While its hard to confirm, because of limited data that is available, It is fairly safe to say that dew points much over 82 degrees are extremely rare here in Connecticut. So it is quite likely this past weekend in Connecticut, is one of the most humid we have had in recorded history for some locations!
