August 7, 2008 Flooding: A Look Back

I almost forgot to make a write up about this day. I remember how primed the day was for severe storms, especially flooding. I particularly remember tornado warnings in Danbury and down through coastal CT.
But the flooding left the bigger impact on me since I witnessed it and got involved with it. It was a rather dangerous situation, even though it was street flooding. A back-building thunderstorm set up just to the south of my house and I easily drove my street to get into it. The following pictures are what I encountered on this day.
