The Storm Prediction Center has issued a Tornado Watch until 9 p.m. for all of Connecticut, except for Litchfield and Fairfield Counties.

As a low pressure system moves into Connecticut, strong winds and rotation associated with these storms may cause isolated tornadoes.

In addition to the tornado threat, strong, damaging winds are possible and flash flooding has already been reported in many areas. Downtown New Haven has major flash flooding with several roads closed.
