On Friday, very heavy rains took place accross Southern Connecticut. In New Haven over 2" fell in less than an hour. As a result there was flooding throughout the area. In the above picture the Route 34 Connector was completely flooded closer to exit 2.

Then on Saturday, more heavy rain took place with between .50 and 1 inch of rain in less than an hour during the early afternoon. Saturday's flooding was not quite as bad, but still there was some flooding reported.  Between the Friday and Saturday rains, totals added up to about 3 to 3.5", almost a 3 week's supply in just a few hours!
