As we move into the weekend and beyond it appears that a cooler pattern will be taking place. It is fairly safe to say that temperatures above 90 degrees will not be too likely for the rest of the month. I thought it would be interesting to look back at the summer season so far from June 1 to August 17, to look at the number of 90 degree days that have occurred across the state. There certainly was quite a variation depending on the location. It is also interesting to note that many stations recorded a temp of 89 in July, with higher dew points that made it feel like it was in the 90s!  So even though some stations were cooler it often felt much hotter!

Total number of 90 degrees days from June 1- August 17, 2012:

New London-1

Norfolk-1

Hamden -10

New Haven-12

Windsor Locks-21

Staffordville-4
