Looking at data archives, we are in for morning low's we would normally see in the last 2 weeks of September for the next few mornings. Much of the state will only drop down to about 55º which may make the title sound misleading, however the hills in Northern Litchfield County actually have the potential to drop below 45º. The NWS is currently forecasting 46º for 4 Miles NW of Salisbury (the most NW part of CT, and highest elevation at 2400') for Sunday Night. In reality, usually the morning low's are a little lower than forecasted. Even the valleys right down to the shore could see temperatures as low as 53º. Here in North Haven we have a complex situation. In the neighborhood of Montowese, they tend to keep a sea breeze at night while my neighborhood, Clintonville does not. Fellow WXedge writer, Scott Cimini has a station located in Montowese. The next 2 nights he should expect temperatures around 58º, but only a few miles to the north in Clintonville, I am expecting temps around 54º. I am basing my forecast off of the current predictions (11:59AM right now), hopefully the forecast won't change too much from where it's at now.
