Happy Monday!

Not much going on locally today. Kind of between systems. One low offshore with rain that could clip Cape Cod and The Islands with a forecast keeping that rain to our East. Another shortwave trof to our west will approach later today with a spot shower in western Connecticut later in the day. That trof will cross the state tonight with a few spot showers through tomorrow morning.

High pressure settles in for the rest of this week. Some cloudiness may move through with a few lows offshore. The rain shield looks to mainly stay offshore. Temperatures will warm a bit later this week a bit.

The other and honestly bigger deal is the area of thunderstorms out across the open Atlantic. I think this will become Isaac today or tonight. Models are consistently moving it to the west over warm water.
