Warm and humid early this morning, lower dew points on tap for Wednesday!

It was a warm and humid overnight in the area. Temperatures most of night remained in the mid-70s. At the same time dew points went up a little bit as well. I woke up at 1am, and at my personal weather station in Hamden the temperature was 75 with a 73 dew point! At the same hour Tweed-New Haven Airport was up to 78 degrees with a dew point of 73. It had been over 2 weeks since we had a similar night!
However looking ahead the forecast for Wednesday looks completely different. The above picture of the NOAA hourly forecast for Hamden shows the dewpoint dropping to 44 degrees by Midday! It’s going to be the driest air in a long time, for sure a very comfortable day to be outside!
