August was an overall warm, but more noticeably humid month with above average rainfall here at my station in Hamden.  There were only 2 days of 90 degrees or greater during the month. However the dew points were above 75 a total of 6 times, which made it feel quite uncomfortable even with temperatures mostly only in the 80s!
