A cold front is very slowly pushing east out of Connecticut. This front brought the rain early on Wednesday and also brought the oppressive humidity before it came through. When I left the station on Tuesday night after the 11pm news I actually felt like I was in Puerto Rico...it was breezy and shockingly humid....not sure if you felt it too, but it was odd...it actually smelled like the tropics.

The image above is the surface forecast map for 2pm on Thursday. Notice one cold front to our east...that is the one that came through today. And then notice our next cold front up to the northwest...that is the one that could squeeze out a few showers on Friday.

But right in the middle is where we will be on Thursday...and that means a beautiful day. Tonight, although the oppressive humidity is moving out, it is still muggy enough for some fog to form and that means Thursday morning will begin with fog, but plenty of sunshine is expected on Thursday afternoon with warm highs in the 80s.
