Quiet Weather Continues-Same Sky As 11 Years Ago

As we pause to remember those terrible events eleven years ago, many reflect on how the sky looked that day. Showers fell on September 10, 2001 and high pressure dominated the eleventh with the same dark blue sky that we see out there today. Some of us in the field of meteorology discuss how weather played a role that day. 

This high pressure center will dominate through the rest of this week. A deep trough will start to approach our area late in the weekend. I think the trend is slower so most of the weekend will end up okay. This feature could spell out some unsettled weather early next week.
