Saturday night's cold front brought some showers & storms but quickly raced east leaving Connecticut with gorgeous, brisk, fall-like weather on Sunday.
Chilly temperatures are expected tonight...most areas easily into the 40s with a few isolated, inland spots in the upper 30s.
The image above is the surface map for Monday afternoon into the evening. With an area of high pressure nearly directly on top of us, beautiful weather will continue on Monday, although highs will likely not make it out of the 60s.
As that high slides to the east, we get into a return flow Tuesday and Wednesday which will allow temps to make it back into the lower 70s, which is seasonable.
Our next weather-maker comes through on Wednesday. Notice the cold front draped over the northern US pushing into the Great Lakes and notice the area of low pressure and warm front coming north from Texas. These two systems will meet up and move east late Wednesday.
Clouds should be increasing on Wednesday and late in the day into early Thursday morning we'll get some rain, but with the cold front surging east, it should quickly clear everything out by Thursday afternoon although there we be a reinforcing shot of cool air.
