Update From Hamden: Heavy rain, and coolest high temperature in almost 4 months!

Today in Hamden we had some very heavy rain here at my station! The heaviest rainfall occurred in the early afternoon hours around 2 pm, when the rainfall rate hit 3.81 " briefly. Then this evening the rain was heavy again from 7:30 to 8:30 pm. In the end the storm total amounted to 2.39 as of 9 pm.
In addition the temperatures were very chilly all day. The high was 60 at midnight, and most of the day it was between 55 and 57 degrees. So this was the coolest day since June 4, when the high temperature was 61 degrees!
