Hopefully everyone was able to take advantage of the beautiful weather we had across the state on Friday as temperatures soared well into the 70's with very low humidity and sunny skies.  While today temperatures will get into at least the low 70's as well we bring the chance of showers along with increased cloud cover much cooler weather is just around the corner.

A very strong early season cold front is marching through the country and is set to cross southern New England during the overnight hours Sunday.  Behind the cold front we are looking at a period  of temperatures which will fare mainly below-normal as we move through the upcoming work week and through at least the next 10 days.

Prior to the passage of the cold front we are going to have to deal with some yucky weather conditions on Sunday.  Temperatures across the state will struggle to work through the 50's and it's possible some of the higher hills across northwest and northeast CT don't even get to the 50°F mark as cloud cover and periods of rain dominant our weather.  While it will not be raining at all times during the day on Sunday whenever it is raining the rates could be fairly heavy at times.

Once the front does pass through the state much cooler air will usher in.  In fact, low temperatures Sunday night and Monday night will get into the upper 30's with some of the colder valley locations perhaps even dipping into the mid 30's.  Some isolated pockets of frost can't be ruled out either in the coldest of locations!  While the weather will be much more tranquil as we move through the week with the exception for a few brief isolated showers Wednesday and Friday temperatures will feel more like fall as high temperatures will range from the upper 50's to lower 60's.

It appears, at least for the foreseeable future that we will be seeing temperatures that are more autumn like and as of now no real signs of any major warmups or high bouts of humidity in the future.  Will this be the end of any spring or summer like temps and humidity?  Time will tell!
