Safety Measures are not limited to inside your home.

When performing outdoor activities such as gardening, paving, or any kind of plant excavation pay close attention to any line markers you may come across.

Electric, natural gas and other utilities are often buried underground. Always call 811 and have the location marked to avoid public safety hazards.

It’s also crucial to have a licensed electrician install your home generator.

Finally, please note that all UI, SCG,CNG and Berkshire employees wear company identifiers and prominently display photo identification.

If someone ever asks for any personal information or if you sense suspicious activity by any person claiming to be an employee of one of our utilities, immediately call 911.
