Forecast temperatures for 2 p.m. Monday.

After falling into the 20's today, readings could hit 70 degrees by tomorrow.

It was a record setting morning as far as cold temperatures are concerned, as lows bottomed out in the mid-20s across many inland locations across Connecticut.

6:05 p.m. update
The latest MOS data shows inland areas getting into the mid and possibly upper 70's on Monday! The MAV MOS puts Bradley Airport at 77 degrees for a high on Monday. How about that for a 50 degree swing in two days?!

Temperatures will struggle into the 50's today, but a quick rebound is expected as a warm front lifts through the area tomorrow. Readings should at least reach the 60's tomorrow, but if sunshine can break through the clouds, some towns could hit 70 degrees.
By Monday, 70's are much more likely as an unseasonably warm air-mass surges into the state.

October is well-known for wild temperature swings:
Last October, after a low temperature of 37 at Bradley Airport on the 7th, the temperature skyrocketed to 85 degrees on both the 9th and 10th.
We all remember how the month ended too with the historic October nor'easter...
Also, temperatures this October on the 7th were more than 20 degrees cooler than they were on the 6th.

Indian Summer:
If the mercury rises to 70 degrees or warmer following the first frost, which is forecast to happen by Monday, then it can be considered an Indian Summer.
