Beautiful weather occurred over Veterans Day weekend, including Monday. We had very mild temperatures and comfortable weather for great conditions for outdoor activities and cleanup from recent storms. Cooler temperatures with some light rain and some wintry precipitation has been in the area today, but a good deal of sunshine could be expected for the rest of the week. The temperatures will be a few to several degrees below normal for Connecticut, but more ideal for running weather.

Climatologically for November 13, 2012, Bridgeport’s average high temperature is 54 and normal low is 39. The city of Hartford’s normal high for today is 53 and the normal low is 34.

This slideshow shows mainly the scenery during a walk and a game of golf on Monday. The day started foggy, but then the fog lifted later for some peaks of sunshine with temperatures that approached 70 in some areas. Some large fallen trees were observed in my walk in Danbury (probably from Sandy). Later in the afternoon, the weather was a bit breezy in spots, but very nice weather for playing golf.

Thank you to all the veterans! Have a great rest of the day!
