I needed to get this update in before I headed out, because I wanted to quickly discuss the change in the ECMWF and GFS models. Both are pushing the low farther from the CT coastline. While the GFS pushes it out to sea totally, the Euro keeps it just along the eastern seaboard. I have to be honest, the GFS has been a bit dicey and if you recall has had the tendency to steer systems eastward then bring them back to shore. The Euro has been much more consistent and has kept the low much closer. With that said, I am feeling a bit more confident that the system may make less of an impact than models first showed, but it's still too early to have total confidence in such a forecast. More updates to follow!
