Southwestern Connecticut was hard hit from Stormy Sandy in Late October.

Winds were up to 76 mph in Bridgeport! The town of Fairfield suffered a lot of damage along the shoreline. However inland areas were also severely impacted. I took a ride along rte. 58 just north of rte.15. The amount of pine trees down was amazing! At least 60 plus trees were gone! The forest is quite open and bare now. Trees that remain are split in half. The side of the road still has many pine branches in piles! It was quite a shocking scene of the raw power of the storm!
