Do you ever wonder how current weather compares to last year? Here's a few things I put together.
Above is the day 6-10 500mb pattern from HPC across North America.
On the left is November 7-11, 2012, on the right is 7-11, 2011. Notice the trough in the west last year and the ridge in the east. This year we're having more troughiness in the east and somewhat zonal.
