Pretty awesome thing going on...actually it has already happened once in the pre-dawn hours of the morning, but the good news is that you can check this out more tonight into Tuesday morning. We're talking about a really cool meteor shower, that actually is called a "meteor storm" because it usually causes hundreds of meteors to streak across the sky every hour when it's going on. This time around, the Leonid meteor shower will only have between 10 and 15 meteors every hour, but will still be a great site to see.
So the best time to see this is in the pre dawn hours tonight, tomorrow night, and Monday night also. Monday night will likely be a bit to cloudy to see, but tonight and tomorrow night will be great! Tonight across the state we should be cloud-free. Tomorrow night, if you live right along the shore, you might have some issues with viewing due to some cloud cover. Inland things will be great!
Happy viewing!
