There’s quite a range in conditions across the area this afternoon. Going from Southern Hamden up to Bethany there was a big difference in snowfall.
Along Dixwell Avenue there was rain mixed with snow, as I traveled up Shepard avenue, the conditions became more snowy. At about 250 feet, the landscape becomes more white. As I headed into Bethany from Hamden on Gaylord Mountain rd, the elevation changes to about 700 feet. Suddenly there was about 1 to 1.5” of accumulation. As I traveled through Bethany near the Naugatuck State Forest, I observed the most accumulation at about 1.75”. Back at my house in Hamden at about 4:30, there is only a dusting!
