Temps Approaching Freezing

You can see as we approach 8pm, most locations across Connecticut are cold, but just above freezing...that means the roads are slippery but not yet icy, although bridges and overpasses could already be frozen.
But for the first time tonight, the Waterbury/Oxford reporting station is now at 32 degrees, a trend that will allow for icy roads across much of the state overnight tonight.
Although the heaviest precip has begun to taper off in most areas, we still have some precip along with some fog creating lower visibility. And although the winds are not very strong, it is cold enough that any wind gives us the windchill on the far right, back into the mid 20s in some spots.
