Well we certainly are not ending the weekend on a high note, that's for sure.  Lots of rain chances over the next few days.  The first of which will be rolling through this afternoon as a warm front tries to lift north of Connecticut.  Now we do have high pressure off to the north of us, so this front will have trouble lifting, hence why we have rain in the forecast throughout the night.  I think round 1 of rain will be as that front starts lifting northward tonight, and into the morning tomorrow.  With this frontal passage, we'll be warm sectored so temps tonight shouldn't drop off to much.  I think we'll definitely stay above freezing, so we won't have to worry about any frozen precipitation with this system.

Tomorrow we sit in the warm sector of the storm, and while our flow will be out of the southwest and thus we'll come close to hitting 60 degrees, we will be mostly cloudy.  I think the next batch of rain should mostly hold off until tomorrow evening as a cold front passes our area.  Behind this front are much colder temps, and the models are pretty much in agreement with the passage of this front.  Friday and yesterday, it looked like the chances of a rainy day on Tuesday were pretty high, now it looks like this front will pass early Tuesday, meaning we'll be dry after that.

Temps will likely drop as the day move on, on Tuesday.  This will be due to the cold air advecting into the region behind this front.  High pressure will then build in, keeping all of the storms away.  I think we could see more clouds on Wednesday for the shore, as a system passes to our south offshore, but we'll keep it mostly sunny after that. A gradual warming trend through Friday will continue, but our temps won't get much above normal.

Saturday will start sunny, but will likely end with some clouds, and we're watching a storm that will pass to the north on Sunday.  Right now it could support some snow, but I think the accumulations would be very very minor if any!  This has only started to come up as of the 06z model run...the 00z run showed some rain and no snow.  Either way, it's still 8 days out so we'll keep an eye out as the week progresses!

Have a great day!
