Quiet weather all day today! A chilly feel with 40 to 45 for the high temperature. High pressure keeps us quiet all day today.

A strong frontal system will arrive tonight though tomorrow morning. The precipitation could start as a brief mix, but temperatures rise all night above freezing.

Roughest weather looks to be 5AM-11AM Friday.

Main threats:

  • Damaging wind gusts from the Southeast 60mph+.
  • Thunder and lightning.
  • Blinding rain-tough to see during the commute.
  • Some spotty flooding along roadways that typically flood.

Winter officially arrives at 6:12AM with this wild weather! I do expect the rain to be gone for the afternoon.

Another round of damaging winds expected to develop later Saturday and Saturday night as colder air arrives. Some gusts over 50mph likely! So, safe to say...bring holiday decorations in today or make sure they are really tied up!

*technical notes: Grid data from GFS shows 80mph under 5,000ft! Will be interesting to see how much of this mixes down. Also, surge data shows tides 2' above tomorrow!
