December 2012 - Warmest Month Since March - Enters Top 10

It's a bit shocking since we came off a Top 10 coolest month in November. Then again, wild swings aren't that surprising in recent years.
December 2012
BDR - 6th warmest since 1950
BDL - 10th warmest
Both locations entered Top 10 warmest Decembers. Not only that but, it was the warmest month since March. In other words, the summer months didn't even have departures from normal as warm as December was.
But Connecticut wasn't alone in the warm month as you can see from the graphic above, the entire Northeast was above normal.
So isn't it amazing that December ended up having above normal snowfall and 3 different snow events?
Bridgeport total snowfall for December 2012 was 7.8", which is 4.2 inches above the normal
Windsor Locks total snowfall for December 2012 was 12.9", which is right at normal.
