After 4 days of sub-freezing weather, ice has begun to form along the Connecticut shoreline!  Not all that unusual, but still pretty cool to see.  The above photograph looks pretty impressive, however there is so much ice because this area of the beach is where Oyster River meets Long Island Sound on the Milford/West Haven border.  I think many of these chucks of ice are from the winding marsh that is Oyster River. A shallow tidal river that freezes pretty easily.  With that said, there was still ice to be found on the rocky shores of Anchor Beach!
