Today marks the 13th annual Polar Plunge in West Haven, Conn.
With temperatures in the lower teens and a wind-chill as low as -5, about 100 people braved the severe conditions to raise money for breast cancer. Unlike last year, when temps soared into the upper 40's for “plunge time”, this year had to be one of the most extreme winter conditions, with not only very cold temperatures, but even a fresh dusting of snow from last night.
This just goes to show what people will do to raise money for cancer research.
