What a wild overnight it was! I was awoken at about 2:40 am to the sound of very strong gale-force winds! The highest wind gust here at my station in Hamden was 40mph, which was a bit low due to the fact that my station is blocked by some trees. Just 1 mile down the street at Hamden High School the wind gusted to 57 mph! Luckily no extreme damage resulted on my street, however garbage pails and recycling bins were blown over.
The next part of the storm that was crazy was the temperature which went up to 58 degrees, along with a 57° dew-point, very strange for the last day of January.
Rainfall though was not too impressive, accumulating to just .40", much less than I originally expected!
