Technical Discussion:

A weak area of low pressure passes south of Long Island later today. Clouds increase and a few flurries are possible tonight. Snow does not look like a big deal, but there are still some discrepancies on the models. Northern CT may stay dry, while coastal areas could have a period of light snow. Will monitor radar trends and obs throughout the day to update the forecast this afternoon.
A quick break in the action on Tuesday, although a flurry and a few clouds may linger during the morning hours. Another round of flurries possible early Wednesday, but once again that system does not look significant.
As the week wears on, we should experience gradually moderating temperatures. A storm is being monitored for Friday. The Euro has been fairly consistent with showing a wintry mix or even rain, while the GFS is not on-board yet. Will keep precipitation probabilities at 50% for now, but added a wintry mix wording inland and a mix or rain at the shoreline.
Conditions should clear out for Saturday with near average temperatures.

Today: Sunshine followed by late-day clouds. Highs near 30 inland, low to mid-30's shore.
Tonight: Overcast with a few flurries. Lows in the teens inland, lower 20's at the shore.
Tuesday: An AM flurry possible, then sun and clouds. Highs in the lower 30's.
Wednesday: AM flurries, then turning milder. Highs in the mid to upper 30's.
Thursday: Increasing clouds, seasonable. Highs in the mid-30's to near 40.
Friday: A light wintry mix is possible. Highs in the mid-30's to around 40.
Saturday: Partly sunny skies. Highs staying in the mid-30's to near 40.

Note: Inland temperatures are an average. Often times, outlying areas may be a few degrees cooler than the advertised temperature on the 6-day graphic.
