Our staff of Meteorologists are reviewing new data that is coming in. A major winter storm is in the making, as it's projected to impact Connecticut from Friday into early Saturday.

-Heavy precipitation, mainly in the form of snow inland. Some mixing is possible at the shore.
---Heaviest snow falls Friday afternoon and night, tapering off by predawn hours Saturday.
-Strong winds, especially across the coast and eastern Connecticut
---Winds may cause coastal flooding and blizzard conditions.

The potential exists for widespread snowfall amounts of 12 or more inches.
