As of 4:30 a.m. the NWS had issued Winter Storm Watches for interior Massachusetts and central New England for the potential of more than 6 inches of snowfall Friday night into Saturday.

I expect more watches to be issued later today as new data comes in. The overnight computer models are still showing a strong possibility of heavy snow across the entire area, including all of Connecticut.

Stay tuned to for updates throughout the day.
