Blizzard Watch for Most of Connecticut

The NWS has placed most of Connecticut under a Blizzard Watch for Friday into early Saturday.
A Blizzard Watch means that a combination of snow and wind is expected to create whiteout conditions with visibility below 1/4 mile for several hours Friday into Saturday morning.
In the watch area, the NWS expects...
-12 to 24 inches of snowfall.
-Wind gusts up to 50 MPH inland, 60 MPH at the shore.
-Blowing and drifting snow, creating dangerous travel conditions.
As of 4:55 a.m. Thursday, all of central and eastern Conn. were under a Blizzard Watch.
