SPC: 2 to 3'' Per Hour Snowfall

The SPC has issued a new discussion and they expect snowfall rates of 2-3" per hour across most of Connecticut through 8:45 p.m.
In their discussion they also talk about how colder air is working into the area. The result will be temperatures falling to below freezing along the shoreline. As the night goes on, heavy snow will continue and temperatures will tumble into the teens inland and into the 20's on the coast.
